What is an IWT?
An International Welding Technologist is a globally recognised qualification that signifies advanced technical knowledge and coordination capability in welding. IWTs oversee complex welding operations, develop and optimise procedures, train teams, and ensure compliance with international welding codes and standards. Simply put, an IWT ensures superior welding.
With Alex’s leadership, we maintain strict process control and world-class welding standards across all materials, from mild and stainless steel to aluminium and other alloys.
EN 15085-2 CL1: Rail-Grade Welding, Delivered
SPE holds EN 15085-2 CL1 certification, the highest level of welding accreditation in the rail and transport industries. This certification allows us to work on safety-critical components, where failure is not an option. CL1 requires not only skilled welding but rigorous quality assurance and continuous oversight, all driven by our IWT-certified welding coordination.
